Description
The sundial, located approximately 15 metres east of The Ditches Hall, is likely from the mid-18th century and is made of sandstone. It features a vase-shaped baluster with a moulded plinth and ornamental capping, adorned with leaf decoration at the bottom and a festooned garland above. The later circular top has a lead and brass plate inscribed with the phrase "LET NOT THE SUN GO DOWN UPON THY WRATH," although the style of the lettering appears to be more recent than the sundial itself. This sundial is included for its group value.
