Description
The Old Rectory, now known as the Deerstalker Restaurant, is an early to mid-19th century former rectory made of red brick. It features a low pitched hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, which has oversailing eaves and a stone eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has sash windows with glazing bars, each topped with flat rubbed brick arches. At the center of the building, there is a large stone portico supported by two pairs of Tuscan columns, which hold up an entablature with a pediment that has been glazed. On the south garden front, there are a total of five windows arranged in a 1:3:1 pattern, with the three central windows set in a two-storey semi-circular bay. The west front features three windows. Additionally, there are late 19th century wings added to the north side of the building.
