Description

Nos 46 and 48 on Noble Street are a pair of cottages dating from around the 17th century. They are timber-framed but have been fronted in painted brick, with the eaves raised in the early 19th century. The cottages have a low-pitched roof covered with plain tiles, featuring gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. The timber framing is visible at the rear and on the gable end. The buildings stand two storeys high and have two windows, with 19th-century casements and plank doors. The ground floor has segmental-headed openings, and there is a central brick chimney stack.
