Description

This is a house with a late 18th or early 19th century front, built onto an earlier core, and featuring a 15th-century rear wing. The front is rendered with roughcast, topped with a Welsh slate roof, and has a brick ridge stack. The front facade is two storeys high and has a two-window arrangement. It contains 6/6 sash windows under a cambered head and a shouldered string course. A canted oriel window features 1/1, 2/2, and 1/1 sash windows, with a moulded cornice and underhang that interrupts the string course. The left side entrance has a two-panel door and overlight, set within a doorcase with a shouldered architrave. To the left of the entrance is a 2/2 sash window under a cambered arch. The right returned side has stucco work and 20th-century French windows, set within a fluted architrave and protected by a canopy supported on scrolled wrought-iron brackets. The rear range is stuccoed with painted brick and rubble construction, topped with a plain tile roof and a brick ridge stack. This range is also two storeys high and has a four-window arrangement, including three 4/8 sash windows, one tripartite window with 1/2, 4/8, and 1/2 sash windows, a Gothick glazed window within a moulded architrave, two 8/8 sash windows, and a glazed door with surrounding lights.
