Description

This milestone, located approximately 45 metres to the west of Stockfield in Alberbury with Alberbury Road, Cardeston, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of red sandstone and features a triangular top. There are traces of white paint, but the inscription was illegible during the survey in June 1985. The milestone includes a bench mark, and the Ordnance Survey map indicates the inscription as "Shrewsbury ... 7". This milestone is part of a series, although Stockfield itself is not included on the list.
