Description

Old Laundry Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with some later alterations. It features a timber frame with plaster and brick infill and has a concrete tile roof. The building has brick end stacks, with one resting on a sandstone rubble base. The cottage has a rectangular two-bay plan oriented roughly east to west and consists of one storey and an attic.

On the south elevation, there are two mid-20th century windows, each with three lights, set within two framed gables. The ground floor has two contemporary casement windows and a glazed door located to the left of centre. The frame consists of three square panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. Attached to the right side of the cottage is a timber-framed lean-to. The interior is noted for its heavy ceiling beams.
