Description
Greensleaves is a cottage that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with some later alterations. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber frame with brick infill, along with a sandstone end stack and a tiled roof. The building has a two- or three-bay plan oriented north-north-east to south-south-west and stands one-and-a-half storeys tall with an attic.
On the west elevation, there is one three-pane early 20th-century window located in the half-storey to the right of the center. To the left of the center, there is a raking-top dormer that contains a two-light mid-20th-century casement window. The ground floor has a two-light mid-20th-century steel casement window on each side of a ledged contemporary door. Attached to the left side and surrounding the end stack is a mid or late 19th-century extension that features two multi-paned cast iron casements. The interior is noted for having heavy ceiling beams.
