Wainhouse About 20 Yards East Of Llanwarne Court

Wainhouse, located about 20 yards east of Llanwarne Court, is probably from the late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has four structural bays arranged in a north-north-west to south-south-east orientation and consists of two levels. The west elevation includes a roughly central segmentally-headed cart entry, with a small square-headed window opening to the right and a ledged door beneath a segmental head. Tallet stairs rise from the north-west corner to a central loft entry in the north gable. At the rear, on the east side, there is a lean-to cowshelter from the early 19th century, supported by columns. The interior features interrupted tie-beam trusses.
