Description
This barn and cow house, located about 35 yards east of Tre-cadifor, likely dates from the 17th century. It is constructed of thin coursed rubble and features a roof made of concrete tiles and corrugated iron. The building has seven bays arranged in a north/south orientation.
On the west elevation, there are two ventilator slits on either side of full-height ledged doors that lead to the threshing floor, which is positioned to the right of the center. There is a second set of full-height ledged doors at the right-hand bay. To the left side, there are three 17th-century ledged doors with segmental heads that provide access to the cow house.
Inside, the structure features two types of trusses: raking struts extending from the ties and V-struts above the collars, which are supported by three posts. This building is included for its group value.
