Description
Leominster Baptist Church is a chapel built around 1771. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tile gable roof. The building is a single storey with a central entrance that has 6-panel double doors and a swagged fanlight. This entrance is topped by a moulded wood open-pediment hood, which includes entablature blocks with triglyphs and guttae, supported by columns and pilasters that create the appearance of triple columns. Above the entrance, there is a bullseye window with coloured glass set in a brick architrave, accompanied by four stucco keyblocks and dated 1771. The window is flanked by 16-pane round-headed lights under brick semicircular arches, also with stucco keyblocks. The chapel has a 20th-century restored brick modillion pediment and parapet. The building known as Marlow's Court, which includes the chapel, was originally built in 1771 to serve as a manse, chapel, and almshouses. The interior has not been inspected.
