Description

A mid-19th century house and outbuilding, originally used as a veterinary surgery, offices, and dwelling. The building is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks to the right-hand range. It is three storeys high with a cellar and has a three-window front. The upper floors feature original 2/2 horned sash windows with gauged brick flat arches above. The entrances to the right have a 20th-century ten-panel door and ornamental fanlight, protected by a restored moulded wooden hood on fluted pilasters. To the left, a 2/2 sash window has been altered in the 20th century, alongside a half-glazed door and plain overlight, both set within a semicircular gauged brick arch.

A later two-storey range to the right has three 2/2 horned sash windows with grooved stucco lintels.

A carriageway is accessed through a chamfered brick arch with a stucco keyblock. To the right of the carriageway is a three-light window with ashlar mullions, plain sashes with cusped heads, and segmental brick arches with ashlar springers. The carriageway contains a part-glazed four-panel door and plain fanlight in a beaded round-headed case, under a gauged brick semicircular arch.

The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
