Description

This barn, located 5 yards northwest of Pound Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber-frame construction with brick infill panels and weather-boarding, topped by a continuous tiled roof. The barn consists of five bays and has central opposed entrances. Inside, there are large curved jowls and raking struts in the central bays, while the end bays display sharply cut jowls, queen struts, and square framing, which may suggest that these areas were extended.
