6/22 Barn and stable about 15 yards east of 11.6.59 Paytoe Hall

GV II

Barn and stable. Probably late C18 to early C19. Sandstone rubble plinth, weatherboarded timber-frame and Welsh slate roof. Rectangular four-bay plan aligned north-west/south-east. Two levels. South-west elevation has three ledged doors to loft openings, two to the left and one to the right of gable entry with full-height two-leaved ledged doors. In the gable are nine nesting holes arranged in three rows of three. Ground floor has square opening to left of stable entry and two-leaved garage doors to right. Interior has trusses with two pairs of parallel V-struts from ties to principals. Included for group value.
