Description

The garden walls and mounting block located to the south of The Grange are possibly from the 17th or 18th century. They are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and extend approximately 25 yards south from The Grange, then return about 75 yards east towards the Summerhouse. The east/west section features two ramps to the west of the Summerhouse. The walls stand about 5 feet high. The mounting block, which has steps leading north, is positioned directly south of The Grange on the west side of the wall. This structure is included for its group value.
