Description
This barn, located about 35 yards southeast of Newcourt Farmhouse, dates from around 1800. It is constructed of rubble and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn features four bays and has splayed ventilators positioned one above the other on either side of full-height, opposed ledged entrance doors. There is an additional entrance on the west side of the north gable end, which is accessed through a ledged door with spearhead strap-hinges. Inside, the barn has cambered tie-beams with raking struts. The ventilators create a two-stage decorative theme around the building's elevations. The barn is part of a group with Newcourt Farmhouse.
