Description
This barn, located about 25 yards north-north-east of New Court Farmhouse, is likely from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and features a corrugated iron roof. The barn has six bays that run in a north-north-east to south-south-west direction. On the west elevation, there are two rows of vent loops, with a total of six on the left and four on the right, positioned next to two-leaved corrugated iron doors that lead to the threshing floor, located to the right of the center. The verges are adorned with kneelers and dressed gablets at the peaks. Inside, the barn has trusses with angle struts connecting the ties to the principals.
