Description
This is an 18th-century barn located about 40 yards north-north-west of New Court Farmhouse. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a corrugated iron roof. The barn has five bays that are aligned roughly north to south. On the west elevation, there are four vent loops on either side of central full-height corrugated iron doors that lead to the threshing floor. Inside, the barn has inner trusses with queen-struts extending from the ties to the collars, and outer trusses that include collars but no tie-beams.
