Description
New Court Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later alterations. It is constructed from painted squared sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof and featuring brick end stacks. The building is L-shaped, with one arm extending westwards and the other to the north. It has a cellar, two storeys, and attics. The south elevation includes three windows that are tripartite glazing bar sashes, each with dressed heads and advanced keystones. There is a central mid-20th century glazed door beneath a similar, but lower, head. The north arm has a deep cellar due to the sloping ground. The interior, which was not inspected, has been reported to contain a 17th-century staircase, which is said to have had its well covered in.
