Description

This building is a cider house, now used as a store, located about 15 yards north-west of Lillands. It likely dates from the early 18th century, with extensions added in the mid-19th century. The structure is timber-framed, brick-cased, and has a tiled roof. It has a rectangular plan consisting of three timber-framed bays, with an additional bay added at each end, oriented north-east to south-west. The building has two levels.

The main elevation faces south-east towards Lillands and features two mid-19th century four-paned windows with segmental heads, one positioned to the left and one at the extreme right. There is a double door at the extreme left, and two ledged doors located roughly in the center, with steps leading down to a cellar between them. To the right of center, there is a window with a strap-hinged door, and further to the right, two ledged doors that are now covered by a glazed late 20th-century link.

Inside, the left end wall of the timber-framed section, visible from the room accessed by the left-hand double doors, has square panelling. The right end wall of the timber-framed section features V-struts from the collar, supported by vertical posts. The two trusses between are made of light scantling and have cranked principals that extend into pegged collars, which support the V-struts.
