Description
This outbuilding, located about 20 yards east of Bodenham Court Farmhouse, is possibly a former cider mill dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber-framed with brick infill set on a sandstone rubble base and features a slate roof. The structure consists of four framed bays aligned east to west and has two levels. The framing mainly consists of three rows of square panels, with a collar and tie-beam truss featuring three struts at the west end, and an interrupted tie-beam truss at the east end.
On the south elevation, there is a square loft opening and a stable door. The north elevation includes three lower-level windows and a semi-circular rubble projection. At the west end, there is a loft opening and a large doorway, while the east end has external sandstone steps leading up to a loft door. Additionally, a five-bay lean-to shed supported by timber posts, with sandstone rubble end walls, is attached to the south elevation.
