Description
This building consists of a barn and an attached cider house, located about 40 yards north-west of Swan House. It is probably from the 18th century. The barn is timber-framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It has two bays that are aligned roughly east to west, with a roughly central entry on the north side. The cider house is also timber-framed, clad in weatherboarding and corrugated iron, featuring a segmental corrugated iron roof. It has entries on the north and east sides. Inside the barn, there are pegged raking struts from the tie-beam that divide the two bays. The cider house contains a cider mill near its junction with the barn and a cider press further to the east. The barn and cider house are prominently positioned along the roadside, directly opposite Swan House, and are included for their group value.
