Description

Tarrington Court is a house likely dating from the late 16th to early 17th century, with later enlargement and restoration work carried out in the early 20th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a timber-frame, plaster and brick infill, tiled roofs, and brick stacks.

The main east-west range has cross-wings at each end, retaining two gable fronts to the north. A two-storey brick addition was built to the south-east in the early 20th century. The house has two storeys and includes cellars and attics.

The north elevation has four windows arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern. These are late 20th-century casements with two and three lights. A four-panelled door is located to the left of centre, sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch. The timber frame is four panels high from the cill to the wall-plate.
