Description

No. 16 Bridge Street is a late 18th-century house located in Kington. The house is constructed of dressed stone, with a hipped slate roof and a 20th-century axial stack to the left rear. It has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a three-window front. The windows are mostly 2/2 and 3/3 sashes with broad beaded cases, set beneath stone flat arches. A 20th-century restored round-headed casement with leaded lights and some old glass occupies the central gable. The central entrance features a late 19th-century half-glazed panelled door in a beaded oak frame. To the right is an 18th-century 10/10 sash window, while to the left is a 19th-century canted bay with 1/1, 3/3, and 1/1 sashes in an altered opening. The left return side is of painted stone rubble.
