Description

The Stedman Memorial is an early 19th-century pedestal tomb located approximately 10 metres east of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity in Bosbury. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a moulded base with a moulded stepped domical capping. The tomb has pronounced convex short sides adorned with double swag enrichment and plain rectangular inscription panels. It commemorates John Stedman, who died in 1808, along with other family members. This memorial is one of a pair of tombs, which includes the Taylor memorial.
