Description
This barn and cow house, located about 40 yards southeast of Bridge Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It features a rubble base with a timber frame and is clad in weatherboards, topped with a hipped corrugated iron roof that slopes to the west. The structure consists of eight bays that run roughly east to west. On the north elevation, there are two ledged doors within the left three bays, and four entrances are situated on the right side. A weatherboarded lean-to with a corrugated iron roof is attached to the west end, while a rubble lean-to with a plain tiled roof is found at the east end. The frame has four panels high to the wall-plate, and the weatherboarding is noted to be in poor condition as of October 1984. Inside, there are braces extending from the posts to the tie-beams, and queen struts that support the collars.
