Description

MATERIALS: rough-hewn Cornish granite.

DESCRIPTION: the memorial consists of a cross surmounting a tapering shaft which is set upon a square plinth. This is set upon a domed base.

An indented panel at the base of the shaft bears the inscription in carved black-painted letters which reads FOR KING AND/ COUNTRY/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES). The front face of the plinth is inscribed WELLINGTON.
