Description
The St Stephen Churchtown Cemetery War Memorial is constructed from granite stone. It features a Celtic Cross above a shaft adorned with a Celtic knot design, all resting on a square plinth. The plinth has recessed slate panels on each side. One of these slate panels includes the inscription:
"TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF OUR BROTHERS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919."
The names of those who fell in the war are also inscribed on the slate panels surrounding the plinth.
