Description
This barn, located about 60 yards north-north-east of Trebandy Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th and 18th centuries and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, timber-frame, and weatherboards, topped with corrugated iron roofs. The barn has an L-shaped plan, with one arm consisting of seven bays extending eastwards and the other arm with three bays extending northwards.
The south elevation features a central gabled porch that is weatherboarded, with two-leaved ledged doors and a single row of vent loops on either side. The east elevation includes a central entry that connects the north/south range, accompanied by two vent loops on the left-hand side. Inside, the south wall of the seven-bay section displays two bays of square-panelled timber-frames. The trusses are designed with raking struts extending from the ties to the principals. This barn is included for its group value.
