Description
This is a barn located about 30 yards north-east of Grove Farmhouse, likely built in the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, with a timber frame that features weather-boarding and brick infill. The roofs are made of Welsh slate, corrugated iron, and tiles. The barn has a T-plan layout, with the main section oriented north to south and a cross-wing at the south end. The main range consists of five bays, while the cross-wing has two bays. The east elevation includes two full-height entries, one located immediately to the right of the cross-wing and the other one bay in from the right end. The roof of the cross-wing is half-hipped. Inside, the main range features triple angle strut trusses, with one truss additionally having a king-strut that extends from the tie to the collar. This barn is included for its group value.
