Description
Ash Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, partly rendered, and features a timber-frame. The roofs are tiled, with both sandstone and brick stacks. The building has an L-shape, with arms extending to the north-west and south-west, and it stands two storeys tall. The north-east elevation includes three windows arranged in a 3:1 pattern, with glazing bar sashes on the left set in render. To the right, there is a sandstone gable front that has late 20th-century glazing bar casements, with the ground floor window consisting of three lights. The entry is located in the north-west elevation. Inside, there is a two-bay timber-framed interior at the junction of the two arms. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
