3/45 Fairtree Farmhouse and attached Oast House at rear -

Farmhouse. Dated 1772, in the basement, probably incorporating an earlier house. Red brick, hipped plain tiled roof, restored brick and stacks and brick modillion cornice. 2 storeys, basement and attics in 2 gabled dormers. 3 bays, the centre one is slightly advanced and surmounted by a pediment. C20 16-pane glazing bar sash windows under segmental heads, Diocletion window in the tympanum of the pediment. Central 6-panel door under fanlight; restored doorcase with fluted pilasters and broken pediment. Single storey extensions at right are former school room and stables of 2 plus 4 bays. C20 extension at left. Setback at the rear left is an attached late C19 oast house: 3 square, brick kilns with pyramidal slate roofs, now garages. Interior: Tunnel vaulted basement; datestone on key of a doorway.
