Description

A group of three barns, a stable, and outbuildings dating from the late 17th century to the 19th century. The buildings are timber-framed on brick and rubble plinths, with some red brick infill and plain tiled roofs. They are arranged around an irregular U-shaped yard. The stable, located at the east end, sits on a high brick plinth with exposed timber framing, and features collar-beam trusses with curved braces. Adjacent to the south-east is a four-bay barn containing tie-beam trusses, with a loft over the east end and a square-headed entry. A lower, adjoining barn of the 19th century is situated at the south-west, featuring a bracketted pentice roof and three tie-beam trusses in the interior. The western return wing is a 19th-century barn of four bays with king-post and tie-beam trusses, with a stable and loft inserted at the north end.
