Description

A barn, likely dating from the 18th century and altered in the 19th century, stands approximately 50 yards northwest of The Vine. The barn has a high brick plinth and a timber-frame construction with weatherboards and a tiled roof, extending across six bays aligned east to west. The south elevation features four segmentally-headed entries, evenly spaced, and a loft located to the left of the centre. Inside, the trusses of the threshing floor in the third bay from the west incorporate two pairs of angle struts connecting the tie-beams to the principals. These ties are supported by two long diagonal braces from the cill-beams, resting on brick cross-walls. The Vine itself is not included in this listing.
