Description
The barn at Vineyard Farm is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame set on a stone base, with cruck framing and a stone extension, topped by a slate roof. The barn consists of five bays, with the first three bays being timber-framed and having brick infill. There is a large entrance to the barn and two smaller entrances located in the third and fourth bays. The barn also includes several pitching holes, and the third bay is equipped with a stone external stair leading to a granary door. The fourth bay features a gabled half dormer with a pitching hole. At one end, there is a wide opening with a timber lintel. Inside, the barn contains three cruck trusses, through purlins, and wind braces, with the central truss displaying framing that includes daub and wattle panels.
