Description
Lancelyn Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn combination built in the late 18th century, with later additions. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and has slate roofs. It stands two storeys tall and consists of four bays, with the third and fourth bays being lower than the first two. The barn, which is three bays wide, is located to the right of the farmhouse. The first and second bays feature flat bands above the floors. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars, while the windows in the third and fourth bays are narrower. The former entrance has a gauged-brick cambered arch and small-paned glazing. The third bay includes a cart entrance with an elliptical arch and gates, and the fourth bay has an inserted door with a flanking light. The barn has a central entrance with large doors and diamond-pattern ventilation holes in the flanking bays. The gables are brick-coped, and there are gable-end stacks.
