Description
Mill House is a 17th-century house, subject to alterations and additions. It is constructed of roughcast and thatch, with brick stacks. The house is one storey high with an attic, and has three bays. The windows have leaded casements, with gabled dormers to the attic; the dormer to the first bay is timber-framed. There are two entrances with plank doors, one with a 20th-century porch. The right return has a weather-board wing with a corrugated iron roof. Internally, the house features chamfered beams and a large fireplace opening with a bench, reputedly made from a pew from Eastham church, with a trefoil panel at the end. The site is near the remains of a stone mill building dating back to the 17th century or earlier.
