Description
This is a gate pier from the early 19th century, located about 30 yards west of Jockey. It is made of cast iron and has a square section with two recessed panels on each face. The pier rises to a frieze and a moulded cornice, topped with a moulded capping and a tall bird finial. It forms a group with the gate pier opposite and the nearby gates, gate piers, and railing leading to the north lodge of Lyston House. Jockey is not included in this listing.
