Description

The gate pier, dating from the 19th century, is located approximately 5 meters to the right of Old Foundry House. It is constructed from rusticated gault brick and features a cast iron double cap as well as a cast iron cap on the plinth. The front of the pier has three recessed panels that contain cast iron plaques. The top plaque showcases decorative relief figure work, while the middle plaque displays a Latin inscription. This gate pier forms a pair with the gate pier that is attached to Old Foundry House.
