Description

Cholstrey Court is a farmhouse with a core dating back to the 16th century, featuring numerous additions over time. It is constructed from timber-frame and plaster, topped with a plain tile roof and various brick stacks. The building has a T-shaped layout with a gable roof.

The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. There is a 19th-century two-light casement window and, to the left, an 18th-century three-light casement window under a prentice-board. An altered 18th-century casement window is located under a prentice-board at the gable. A 17th-century outshut has a brick stack, a 19th-century three-light casement, a 20th-century light, and a 20th-century door with an overlight, alongside a 19th-century casement.

To the left, there is a wing featuring an 18th-century three-light casement above a 19th-century cross-window and a 20th-century restored brick stack. Another wing has one-, two-, and three-light casements, along with a massive rubble end stack with a brick chimney. On the right side, there are two 19th-century casements beneath an underbuilt jetty, and a tier of later 19th-century mullion and transom windows, with a 20th-century casement at the gable. The 20th-century glazed doors are sheltered by a 19th-century hood supported by wrought-iron brackets.

At the rear, there is a brick outshut featuring a tripartite window with 19th-century sashes (2/2: 6/6: 2/2). The north wing has a sandstone rubble and brick outshut beneath a hipped Welsh slate roof. The interior has not been inspected.
