Description
Warham Court is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century, with enlargements and alterations made in the 17th century, and further changes in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed, featuring a sandstone plinth, with parts covered in painted brick and wattle-and-daub infill. It has brick chimney stacks and roofs made of Welsh slate. The layout is irregular, with an earlier wing to the north that extends from east to west, and an adjoining wing that extends to the south, with an additional section extending to the west.
The earlier wing has a lateral stack, and there is another lateral stack on the east front of the south wing. The 20th-century entrance is located to the south of the west wing. On the east front, there is a two-storey gable end of the earlier wing on the right, which features one four-light 20th-century casement window. The adjoining wing is single storey with an attic, showcasing a nine-pane casement window in a gabled dormer and a two-light casement window on the ground floor to the right of the lateral stack. There is also a narrow lean-to porch at the angle of the wing. The framing includes close-studding on the east gable end of the earlier wing and square panelled framing from the 17th-century alterations.
