Description
This barn, located about 20 yards north of Yew Tree Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century and combines elements of a former stable and cow cot. It features a timber frame with brick infill panels, a weatherboarded east gable, and a plain tiled roof. The structure consists of four bays aligned east to west, with two levels on either side of a central threshing floor. On the south elevation, there are high ledged doors leading to the threshing floor in the second bay from the left, with single ledged doors to the cow cot and stable on either side. The east gable is adorned with five rows of nesting boxes in its weatherboarding. Inside, there are raking struts connecting the ties to the principal beams.
