Description
This building is a barn and stable, dating from the 18th century, located about 40 yards west of Hyatt Sarnesfield. It features a sandstone rubble plinth, brick gables, and a timber frame with weatherboards, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The structure has a rectangular four-bay plan that is aligned north-east to south-west and consists of two levels.
The south-east elevation is weather-boarded and includes central ledged opposed stable doors. The ground floor has two openings with ledged shutters on the left-hand side and one on the right-hand side. The gables have continuous perforations created by spaces in the brickwork. The south-west gable features a central stable door. Inside, there is an oak trough located in the north-east half of the north-west wall, and the trusses are supported by raking struts.
