Cider mill and hop kiln. Probably early C19. Dressed coursed sandstone rubble and timber-framed with brick infill and some weatherboarding; plain tiled roof. Three framed bays aligned roughly east/west. Two levels. Framing: two rows of panels at upper level, long straight braces across upper corners, collar and tie-beam truss with raking struts across lower corners exposed at west end. Main north elevation: two ground floor windows with wooden bars, 2-light upper-level window and a loft door. There is a central entrance with moulded lintel and ledged and battened door. Interior: there are intermediate king-post roof trusses. The cider mill and press are largely intact. The hop kiln is situated at the east end. It is built of brick on a sandstone rubble base and of circular plan. The roof is missing. There is a small window with a cambered head on the north and south sides. The cider mill and hop kiln are situated close to Yoke Farmhouse (qv). Included for group value.
