Description

This stable and hay loft, located about 40 yards south-west of Dunswater Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The building has a rectangular plan aligned north-west to south-east and consists of two storeys and an attic. The north elevation includes two segmentally-headed openings, a brick plat band, two ledged doors, and raised verges. The north-west gable has three superimposed central openings, with the ground floor featuring a ledged door. The interior has not been inspected. This structure is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
