1/211 Doorway about 20 yards south-east of The Vine

GV II

Doorway, probably ex situ. Probably C17. Sandstone dressings and sandstone rubble. Pediment with scrolled bottom corners and fleur-de-lys panel beneath apex; moulded string course above semi-circular headed doorway with moulded jambs, imposts and intrados; nailed door, probably C19, with enriched strap hinges. The Vine is not included in this list (RCHM Vol II, p 184).
