Description
No 8 and The Old Vine Inn is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Great Minster Street, dating from 1833. It is two storeys high, constructed of red brick with an old tile roof. The first floor features five contemporary sash windows set in moulded frames. The entrance boasts a well-crafted doorcase with brackets and a moulded open dentil pediment. The public house frontage from the 19th century includes Gothic-style windows. There is a panelled door with a fanlight above it, and two dormers are present on the roof. At the rear, there is a wing that has lattice casements in the gable. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along Great Minster Street.
