Description
This granary, located about 30 yards north of Whitfield, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of squared sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has four structural bays that run east to west and includes a cellar and two storeys.
On the south elevation, there are three oeil-de-boeuf openings on the upper floor, along with an oculus in a small central pediment above the eaves. There are also two square-headed openings, one on each side of a central early 20th-century stable door. The west gable features an oculus at the apex and a square opening to the right of a ledged door, which is accessed by tallet-stairs that rise from the south. Above these stairs, there is another oeil-de-boeuf opening on the ground floor. The east gable has a central entry to the cellar, which is accessed by external stairs. Inside, the granary has trusses with collars.
