Description
This granary, located about 25 yards west of Llanfrother, dates back to the 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed from squared coursed sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has four bays oriented north-north-west to south-south-east and stands three storeys tall.
The east elevation showcases segmentally headed openings, except for two square-headed windows on the top floor. On the first floor, there are two windows, one on each side of a roughly central doorway, which is accessed by stone tallet stairs that rise from the left. The ground floor includes two doorways, one on the left and one on the right. The gables feature kneelers and verges, while the south gable has high early 20th-century double-leaved doors beneath a concrete lintel. Inside, the structure contains trusses with collars and curved principals. This building is included for its group value.
