Description

This barn, located about 20 yards west of Firhouse Farmhouse, is probably from the 18th century. It is built of finely coursed rubble and has a stone slate roof. The barn consists of five bays that are aligned roughly east to west. On the north elevation, there is one vent slit to the right of the full-height doors located in the fourth bay from the west. Each gable features one loft opening, and there is an 18th-century ledged door on the east gable. Inside, the barn has raking struts that connect the tie-beams to the principal rafters.
