Description
Little Cwm Dulas is a farmhouse that likely has a core dating back to the 16th century, with alterations made in the late 17th century and further minor changes in the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a roof that is partly covered with stone slate and partly with corrugated metal. The building has a rectangular plan oriented from north-east to south-west, with the entrance located towards the center of the south-east front. There is a south-west gable end stack and an integral winder staircase. The farmhouse is single storey with an attic; on the north-west front, there is one dormer window on the right with a 2-light casement, and two 2-light window openings flanking draught doors on the left-hand side. Inside, the structure reveals cruck construction that was originally two bays, with an end truss embedded in the stonework of the south-west gable end. The remaining trusses appear to have been altered, and there is a late 17th-century inserted cross-beamed ceiling featuring chamfered main crossing beams. The north-east end of the building has been used as a barn.
